This
morning I was
feeling a little tired (probably from going to bed late after our fun
memorial day outings).
So my wonderful husband and kids let me sleep in while they took care
of breakfast and watched Matthew. Later when I woke up I came down to
find that my girls had made me a tray with german pancakes and real
maple syrup, orange juice and a napkin decorated with hearts saying
"from your kids". So sweet of them and the food tasted so
good.
Aaron
and I, we're sure
lucky to have such good kids. This is just one example of the
thoughtful things they do.
It
was so nice to get to catch up on sleep. I wasn't expecting
anything else when I came down the stairs.
While
I was eating, Matthew was pretending to be a dog. He came up to my
chair a number of
times on all fours woofing and panting with his tongue out. He wanted
to have me say "good dog" and pat him on the head. He did
this about five
times. It was pretty cute.
Well
I'm hoping that I can get to bed earlier tonight so I don't feel that
tired in
the morning like I did today and can actually get up on time.
Although it was a nice thing to wake up to breakfast made, I feel so
lazy when I sleep in and don't get going on the day. I usually feel like sleeping in in the winter, mostly in January
when it's cold and dark for a lot of the day. But it's summer now and
the sun is out so I want to take advantage of those daylight hours.
That's
my little story. Hope you all enjoyed it.
