Dirt, mud and growing children

My kids love this planter box. It's been a boat, a construction site, a mud pit, and a dust bomb factory. And while there are days that my kids being covered in dirt is not appreciated, I do love that they are making fun memories and using their imaginations. Besides dirt is healthy, right?

It may not have some lovely green plants growing in the planter box, but I think it follows the saying "Plant smiles, grow laughter, harvest love".

Football shirt

Matt comes downstairs in this shirt and says "mom, it's time for me to run at you and tackle you". Football shirts = must tackle someone.

We are ecSTATIC about spring!

Two

This little princess turned two last month...and...has sung happy birthday to herself almost every day since. She loves to sing and sings along with every song she can.

She loves pretty things and accessories. She carries around bags - "purses" filled with cars, bracelets and assorted toys, mostly purple ones which is her favorite color.

She loves to say the prayer and cries whenever she doesn't get to do it. She loves playing with her older brothers and picks up on a lot of their play. The other day she told me she was going to "shoot bad guys". Guess she knows how to handle her own.

Big 4

This guy turned 4!

 He has a smile and laugh that will light up the room and make you laugh out loud.

 He loves his spiderman pajamas and pretending to be spiderman. After giving him a haircut once I said "you look nice" to which he replied "I don't want to look nice, I want to look like Spiderman!"

 Nate is super tough and super sweet. He has a firey streak and can go from 0 to 60 when he gets mad, but he is usually kind to Lauren and a great buddy to Matt.

He just learned how to whistle, he loves playing with trucks and trains and dressing up in his fireman clothes.
