Ahh...the joys of homeschooling

On a chilly afternoon in October we made ourselves some spiced warm milk and wrapped up in blankets to do our journal writing part of school.

I'm loving doing school with my girls. Our schedule is working so well and we're having such a good time learning together.

Classes

Our physical education classes are now including soccer, dance and basketball.

Madelyn started a new soccer class that teaches the basics of soccer and has the children scrimmage at the end of each practice session.Ashlie started dance class. She loves dressing up as a ballerina and is enjoying taking her new "creative dance" class.Alia will be starting to play on a basketball team in December. She is really looking forward to it since she and I have been practicing at our park each morning after our walk.

Madelyn's Baptism

Madelyn was baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Saturday. It was a very beautiful day.
Alia gave a great talk about the importance of baptism and how it is a necessary step that leads us back to Heavenly Father. Grandpa T. talked about the importance of listening to the Holy Ghost and how that has blessed his life. He told about a time that listening to the Holy Ghost protected him from danger.

Sparkle Spa

Madelyn recently celebrated her birthday with a "spa" birthday party.
(I must give credit to my sister-in-law, Tara, who last year hosted a spa bridal shower for my sister from which I gleaned a lot of ideas.)

Come see the sparkle spa experience...
Yogurt Facials...

Foot baths with marbles to massage their feet
What a beautiful bunch of girls.
