Matthew's blessing

Matthew was blessed on December 5, 2010. The outfit he wore was the same outfit Aaron wore when he was blessed. We got to have Grandpa and Grandma T. with us and Kami and her girls also. It was a very special day.
We love our little Matthew
I love this next picture of Aaron with his Dad and Matthew.

Weighing in

So we weighed Matthew on Monday...I couldn't believe it when the scale said 13 pounds! Tomorrow he will be six weeks old. That means he has increased his body weight by about 62% since birth. Wow! Way to go Matthew. Looks like he wants to be big and strong like his daddy.

When Matthew's hair dries after a bath it stands on end. So we made it into a nice faux-hawk in this cute picture.

SNOW...glorious snow!

Last week's weather brought us some snow. It really gets me in the holiday mood to see some snow. The girls had so much fun playing in it while it lasted. We kept the crock pot going with plenty of warm cider or hot chocolate. I'm hoping we'll get some more "white stuff" for Christmas.

My parent's visit

My wonderful parents came to visit about a week ago. It was great to have them come and play with the girls and get to meet Matthew. We had so much fun.
I love this picture I got of them at the park. They are so cute together and so in love after all these years.
Playing scrabble.
Alia showing off her tree climbing skills (and abdominal strength as well).
The park by the beach.
Grandma H. playing around with the girls.

We had to get a picture with Matthew and me too. See his little head in there?
Things got a little crazy for a while
Enjoying time on the beach.

Thanks Mom and Dad for coming to visit us. We loved having you here!

1 week old and new "pets"

Matthew is one week old today. We are loving having this cute little guy in our home.

The other day I found that Madelyn was making sure Matthew was well taken care of by sharing one of her stuffed animals with him.
Yesterday at dinner, Matthew politely waited for us to finish. He put his little hands like that all on his own while he was sleeping. (So I found out after I posted this that Aaron actually helped with the interlocking of ALL his fingers. He only had a few fingers interlocked. Oops, I just thought Aaron had put his hands up like that.)
Today I also got to buy two new "pets". Ashlie came up to me with her "bird" with a for sale tag on it. It was $2.00 so I wrote out a paper $2.00 and promptly bought the bird.
After that a dog came up for sale for $1.00. Another paper dollar later, I was the owner of this cute little dog.
After I bought it the dog went and got itself a license.
