On the trail.
A "tree tent". A nice little shelter made by the roots of a tree.
After the hike, Aaron took me on a date for my birthday while Grandpa and Grandma T watched our girls for us.
We went to a restaurant called the Bilbao Restaurant. Aaron served his mission in the Bilbao, Spain mission so we were excited to find this restaurant that had authentic Spanish cuisine. We had the Tortilla Espanola, (a traditional Spanish pie made out of eggs with potato and roasted sweet peppers), Pulpo a la Feira (marinated Octopus with Potato, sea salt and we think spicy paprika), Paella Valenciana (Paella is a saffron flavored rice dish with vegetables and seafood and/or chicken) Ours came with mussels and clams in their shells and chicken. We finished off our meal with their delicious flan and a creme brulee type dessert. The food was "muy delicioso".
After our meal we went to the Ballard locks near Seattle and watched some of the boats go through. We had a great time together. Thanks Aaron for taking me on such a great Birthday date! And thanks to Grandpa and Grandma for babysitting!
